Асинхронный мотор на 120 В с двумя концами вала: с одной стороны шкив ремня барабана, с другой — крыльчатка вентилятора (blower wheel). Значит, мотор крутит и барабан, и вентилятор. Внутри — пусковая и рабочая обмотки, центробежный выключатель (centrifugal switch), который отключает пусковую обмотку после разгона и на многих моделях разрешает включение нагрева, и тепловая защита (thermal overload).
Стоит внизу: Whirlpool 29" — в центре дна, доступ спереди после снятия барабана; Whirlpool Duet — внизу сзади/спереди; GE, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire — внизу под барабаном.
A 120 V induction motor with a double-ended shaft: one end has the drum belt pulley, the other the blower wheel. So the motor drives both drum and blower. Inside are start and run windings, a centrifugal switch that drops the start winding after spin-up (and on many models allows the heat circuit to close), and a thermal overload.
It sits at the bottom: Whirlpool 29" — center of the base, accessed from the front after removing the drum; Whirlpool Duet — low at rear/front; GE, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire — under the drum.

- ❌ НеисправнаFaulty
OL или сильно вне диапазона — обмотка оборвана, менять мотор. Обмотки в норме, а мотор гудит и не крутится (вентилятор и барабан свободны) — подозревай центробежный выключатель → мотор в сборе.
OL or far out of range — open winding, replace the motor. Windings fine but motor hums and will not turn (blower and drum free) — suspect the centrifugal switch → replace the motor assembly.
Обесточь. Сначала исключи механику: сними ремень и покрути шкив мотора и барабан руками. Если мотор без ремня крутится тяжело — заклинило вентилятор (носок в крыльчатке) или подшипники мотора.
Unplug. First rule out mechanics: remove the belt and turn the motor pulley and drum by hand. If the motor is stiff without the belt, the blower is jammed (sock in the wheel) or the motor bearings are bad.
Если сушилка на «Старт» вообще молчит — сначала дверной выключатель, кнопка старта, термопредохранитель; мотор последним.
If the dryer is silent on Start — check door switch, start switch and thermal fuse first; the motor last.
Отключи разъём мотора. По схеме (wiring diagram) найди общий вывод (common) пусковой и рабочей обмоток.
Unplug the motor connector. Using the wiring diagram, find the common terminal of the start and run windings.
Измерь общий–рабочая и общий–пусковая (у Whirlpool обычно белый–голубой и белый–чёрный).
Measure common-to-run and common-to-start (on Whirlpool usually white-to-light blue and white-to-black).
🔧 ЗаменаReplacement
Сними барабан и ремень. Сними крыльчатку вентилятора с вала (у Whirlpool резьба левая — откручивать по часовой стрелке, держа вал за шестигранник на другом конце). Отключи провода (сфотографируй), сними два зажима-хомута мотора и выньте мотор. На новый мотор переставь шкив, если он не идёт в комплекте.
Remove the drum and belt. Take the blower wheel off the shaft (on Whirlpool it is left-hand thread — turn clockwise to loosen while holding the shaft by the hex at the other end). Disconnect the wires (take a photo), release the two motor clamps and lift the motor out. Transfer the pulley if the new motor does not include one.

При замене мотора обычно ставят новый натяжной ролик, ремень и очищают вентилятор; на Whirlpool перекидывают крыльчатку со старого мотора.
