Длинный плоский поликлиновой ремень (multi-rib), который обхватывает барабан снаружи и передаёт вращение от шкива мотора через натяжной ролик. Ребристая сторона — к барабану.

Есть во всех ремённых сушилках: Whirlpool / Kenmore / Maytag 29" (ремень 341241 по каталогу RepairClinic), Whirlpool Duet, GE, Frigidaire, Samsung, LG. При обрыве на многих моделях срабатывает датчик ремня (belt switch) и мотор останавливается (Whirlpool Duet, часть Kenmore); на Whirlpool 29" мотор просто крутится вхолостую.

A long flat multi-rib belt that wraps around the outside of the drum and transfers motion from the motor pulley via the idler pulley. Ribbed side toward the drum.

Used in every belt-drive dryer: Whirlpool / Kenmore / Maytag 29" (belt 341241 per RepairClinic), Whirlpool Duet, GE, Frigidaire, Samsung, LG. When it breaks, many models trip a belt switch that stops the motor (Whirlpool Duet, some Kenmore); on Whirlpool 29" the motor just spins free.

📏 Как проверитьHow to test

ПриборMeter: Мультиметр не нужен (для датчика ремня — прозвонка).
No meter needed (continuity for a belt switch).
✅ НормаNormal: Ремень целый, рёбра не потрескались, натяжение держит натяжной ролик.
Belt intact, ribs not cracked, tension held by the idler.
❌ НеисправнаFaulty: Порван, растянут, рёбра в трещинах или блестят (проскальзывание) — менять.
Broken, stretched, ribs cracked or glazed (slipping) — replace.

Обесточь. Открой дверь и покрути барабан рукой: если крутится совсем легко — ремня нет.
Unplug. Open the door and turn the drum by hand: if it spins with no resistance, the belt is gone.
Сними верх/переднюю панель (по модели) и осмотри ремень по всей длине.
Remove the top/front panel (per model) and inspect the belt along its full length.

🔧 ЗаменаReplacement

Whirlpool 29": подними верх (два клипса спереди), сними переднюю панель (два винта сверху), подними барабан на ремне и вынь его. Надень новый ремень на барабан рёбрами внутрь, совместив со следом старого, поставь барабан, через нижний лючок/сбоку оттяни натяжной ролик и накинь ремень «зигзагом» на шкив мотора. Покрути барабан рукой — ремень должен сидеть по центру. Фронтальные и Samsung/LG — через переднюю панель и перегородку (bulkhead).

Whirlpool 29": pop the top (two front clips), remove the front panel (two top screws), lift the drum by the belt and take it out. Put the new belt on the drum ribs-in along the old belt track, refit the drum, reach in and pull the idler to loop the belt onto the motor pulley in a zig-zag. Turn the drum by hand — the belt should run centered. Front-loaders and Samsung/LG — via the front panel and bulkhead.
