Термистор (thermistor, temperature sensor) — датчик температуры воды типа NTC: чем горячее, тем меньше его сопротивление. Плата по нему решает, сколько греть ТЭНом или в какой пропорции смешивать горячую и холодную воду.
- Front-load: в нижней части бака — вставлен в ТЭН или рядом с ним (LG, Whirlpool Duet — в узле ТЭНа; Samsung — в ТЭНе или отдельно в баке).
- Top-load HE (Whirlpool VMW/Cabrio, Samsung, LG): датчик температуры в клапане подачи воды или в линии залива — плата так смешивает воду для «тёплого» режима.
В сушильных машинах тоже есть термисторы — это другая деталь (dryer-thermistor).
The thermistor is an NTC water temperature sensor: the hotter it gets, the lower its resistance. The control uses it to decide how long to run the heater or how to mix hot and cold water.
- Front-load: at the bottom of the tub — in the heater or next to it (LG, Whirlpool Duet — in the heater assembly; Samsung — in the heater or a separate tub port).
- HE top-load (Whirlpool VMW/Cabrio, Samsung, LG): a temperature sensor in the inlet valve or fill line, used to blend water for warm settings.
Dryers also have thermistors — that is a different part (dryer-thermistor).

Типично (сверить с tech sheet модели): Whirlpool — около 14.8 kΩ при 68 °F (20 °C) и 9.8 kΩ при 86 °F (30 °C); LG — около 39.5 kΩ при 77 °F (25 °C). У Samsung значения сильно зависят от модели (встречаются от ~12 до ~60 kΩ при комнатной температуре) — только по tech sheet. Главное: при нагреве сопротивление падает.
Typical (confirm with the tech sheet): Whirlpool — about 14.8 kΩ at 68 °F (20 °C) and 9.8 kΩ at 86 °F (30 °C); LG — about 39.5 kΩ at 77 °F (25 °C). Samsung varies a lot by model (from ~12 to ~60 kΩ at room temperature in different sources) — use the tech sheet only. Key point: resistance falls as it warms.

Обесточить. Найти разъём датчика (у ТЭНа внизу бака или в жгуте у платы — у Whirlpool удобно мерить на разъёме у платы).
Unplug. Find the sensor connector (at the heater at the bottom of the tub or in the harness at the board — on Whirlpool it is easy to measure at the board connector).
Снять разъём, щупы на два контакта датчика. Записать показание и температуру в комнате/баке.
Unplug it, probe the two sensor pins. Note the reading and the room/tub temperature.
Проверить реакцию: подогреть датчик (тёплая вода в баке или тёплая ладонь на выносном датчике) — сопротивление должно плавно уменьшаться.
Check the response: warm the sensor (warm water in the tub or a warm hand on a remote sensor) — resistance should drop smoothly.
Прозвонить провода датчика до платы и проверить разъём на окисление.
Check the sensor wires to the board and the connector for corrosion.
🔧 ЗаменаReplacement
- Обесточить, слить воду (если датчик в баке/ТЭНе).
- Снять панель доступа, отсоединить разъём.
- Датчик в ТЭНе: аккуратно вытянуть из гнезда в корпусе ТЭНа, вставить новый до упора. Отдельный датчик в баке: ослабить гайку/снять стяжку и вытянуть, как ТЭН.
- Вернуть стяжки на провода, подключить, проверить протечки и запустить тёплый цикл.
- Unplug, drain the tub (if the sensor is in the tub/heater).
- Remove the access panel, unplug the connector.
- Sensor in the heater: carefully pull it out of its socket in the heater body and push the new one fully in. Separate tub sensor: loosen the nut/cut the zip tie and pull it like a heater.
- Refit zip ties on the wires, reconnect, check for leaks and run a warm cycle.

💡 Заметки мастераTech notes
- Без температуры показание бессмысленно: NTC в холодном гараже и в тёплом доме даёт очень разные числа. Всегда сравнивать с таблицей «сопротивление — температура».A reading without a temperature is meaningless: an NTC in a cold garage and a warm house reads very differently. Always compare with the resistance–temperature table.
- При ошибке tE сначала проверить разъём и провода — окисление и перетирание жгута у бака встречаются часто.On a tE error, check the connector and wires first — corrosion and chafing near the tub are common.
- Номер детали — по полной модели; у LG термистор иногда продаётся только вместе с ТЭНом.Part number — by the full model; on LG the thermistor is sometimes sold only with the heater.
