Актуатор переключения (shift actuator) — маленький мотор-редуктор со встроенными датчиками положения. Он двигает рычаг (shift lever), который переключает муфту/коробку между режимами стирка (крутится только агитатор/диск) и отжим (крутится вся корзина).
Только top-load:
• Whirlpool/Maytag/Amana/Kenmore VMW, Cabrio, Bravos (примерно с 2010 г.): снизу машины, рядом со шкивом муфты (splutch), 2 винта. В нём же стоит датчик скорости вращения (speed sensor).
• GE top-load: «mode shifter» снизу, на коробке передач.
• Samsung top-load: аналогичную роль выполняет мотор муфты (clutch motor) на узле муфты.
У front-load и старых direct-drive Whirlpool этой детали нет.
The shift actuator is a small gear motor with built-in position sensors. It moves the shift lever that switches the clutch/gearcase between wash (only the agitator/impeller turns) and spin (the whole basket turns).
Top-load only:
• Whirlpool/Maytag/Amana/Kenmore VMW, Cabrio, Bravos (about 2010 on): under the washer next to the splutch pulley, 2 screws. It also contains the speed sensor.
• GE top-load: a "mode shifter" underneath on the gearcase.
• Samsung top-load: a clutch motor on the clutch assembly plays the same role.
Front-loads and old direct-drive Whirlpool washers do not have it.

Мультиметр: Ω (20 kΩ) по tech sheet модели. Основной способ — сервисный тест переключения.

В сервисном тесте рычаг уверенно перемещается между положениями, ошибка не появляется. Сопротивления — в пределах tech sheet (для примера: у GE mode shifter обмотка около 5.7 kΩ; у Whirlpool значения смотреть в tech sheet конкретной модели).
In the service test the lever moves firmly between positions with no error. Resistances within the tech sheet (for example, the GE mode shifter winding is about 5.7 kΩ; for Whirlpool use that model's tech sheet).
- ❌ НеисправнаFaulty
Рычаг не двигается, OL на обмотке, ошибка переключения/скорости остаётся при исправных проводах. По опыту мастеров актуаторы Whirlpool VMW часто отказывают и могут «звониться» нормально — при стойкой F7 E5 после проверки разъёма его меняют.
Lever does not move, OL on the winding, shift/speed error persists with good wiring. Techs report Whirlpool VMW actuators fail often and can read OK — with a persistent F7 E5 after checking the connector they are replaced.
Считать код ошибки. Войти в сервисный режим (у Whirlpool — Service Diagnostic / Manual Parts Test) и включить тест «shift to spin / shift to agitate», наблюдая снизу (с фонариком), двигается ли рычаг.
Read the error code. Enter service mode (on Whirlpool — Service Diagnostic / Manual Parts Test) and run the shift-to-spin / shift-to-agitate test, watching from below whether the lever moves.
Обесточить. Наклонить машину назад, снять кожух шкива, осмотреть актуатор, его рычаг и пластиковый «палец», разъём и провода.
Unplug. Tilt the washer back, remove the pulley cover, inspect the actuator, its lever and plastic pin, connector and wires.
Снять разъём и померить обмотку мотора и цепи датчиков по схеме из tech sheet (лежит в машине).
Unplug it and measure the motor winding and sensor circuits per the tech sheet diagram (stored in the washer).
Если актуатор двигает рычаг, а корзина всё равно не крутится — смотреть муфту (splutch) и ремень.
If the actuator moves the lever but the basket still will not spin — check the splutch and belt.
🔧 ЗаменаReplacement
- Обесточить, перекрыть воду, наклонить машину назад к стене (или положить на перед по гайду) — подстелить полотенца.
- Снять кожух шкива (2 винта), снять разъём актуатора (отжать защёлку).
- Открутить 2 винта Phillips #2 и снять актуатор, приподняв его так, чтобы палец вышел из рычага.
- Поставить новый, чтобы палец вошёл в рычаг, закрутить, подключить.
- После замены обязательно прогнать калибровку (calibration cycle) — без неё возможны ошибки отжима.
- Unplug, shut off water, tilt the washer back against a wall (or lay it on its front per the guide) — lay towels.
- Remove the pulley cover (2 screws), unplug the actuator (squeeze the latch).
- Remove 2 Phillips #2 screws and lift the actuator so its pin clears the lever.
- Fit the new one with the pin in the lever, screw in, connect.
- Always run the calibration cycle afterwards — otherwise spin errors may follow.

W10913953 заменяет старые W10597177/W10815026. Перед заменой проверить муфту (splutch) и ремень — при их износе новый актуатор не поможет.
