Датчик уровня (pressure switch) узнаёт, сколько воды в баке, по давлению воздуха. Внизу бака есть воздушная камера (air dome/air chamber), от неё к датчику идёт тонкая трубка (pressure hose). Чем больше воды — тем выше давление в трубке.
- Механический (старые top-load, Kenmore 80/90, GE с ручкой уровня): мембрана переключает контакты при заданном уровне.
- Электронный (почти все современные HE top-load и front-load): катушка с сердечником выдаёт частоту (kHz), плата пересчитывает её в уровень.
Top-load: в консоли (control console) или на плате управления (у Whirlpool VMW датчик встроен прямо в плату). Front-load: вверху на боковой/задней стенке под верхней крышкой.
The pressure switch measures how much water is in the tub by air pressure. An air dome/chamber at the bottom of the tub connects to the switch through a thin pressure hose. More water — higher pressure in the hose.
- Mechanical (older top-loads, Kenmore 80/90, GE with a level knob): a diaphragm flips contacts at a set level.
- Electronic (almost all modern HE top- and front-loads): a coil and core output a frequency (kHz) that the board converts to a level.
Top-load: in the control console or on the board (on Whirlpool VMW it is built into the main control). Front-load: high on a side/rear wall under the top panel.

Нет щелчка, контакты не переключаются, OL на катушке, показание в сервисном режиме не меняется при наборе воды — замена (у Whirlpool VMW датчик на плате, меняется плата).
No click, contacts do not transfer, OL on the coil, service-mode reading does not change as water fills — replace (on Whirlpool VMW the sensor is on the board, so the board is replaced).
Обесточить. Сначала трубка: снять трубку с датчика, продуть её в сторону бака — должна проходить свободно (часто забита налётом/ворсом или пережата). Проверить воздушную камеру (air dome) на засор.
Unplug. Hose first: pull the hose off the switch, blow through it toward the tub — it must be clear (often clogged with residue/lint or pinched). Check the air dome for clogs.
Механический датчик: снять разъём, щупы на клеммы «пусто» (обычно COM-NC). Затем через трубку слегка подуть в патрубок датчика — должен быть слышен щелчок, и прозвонка переходит на другую пару (COM-NO).
Mechanical: unplug, probe the "empty" terminals (usually COM-NC). Then gently blow into the switch port through tubing — you should hear a click and continuity moves to the other pair (COM-NO).
Электронный датчик: снять разъём, померить сопротивление катушки между крайними контактами (по схеме модели).
Electronic: unplug, measure coil resistance between the outer pins (per the model diagram).
Лучше — сервисный режим: многие машины показывают показание датчика (частоту или число). Пустой бак и полный бак должны давать разные значения, которые меняются плавно.
Better: service mode — many washers display the sensor reading (frequency or a number). Empty and full tub must give different values that change smoothly.
🔧 ЗаменаReplacement
- Обесточить. Снять консоль (top-load) или верхнюю крышку (front-load).
- Снять разъём и трубку (иногда на хомуте).
- Открутить винт или отщёлкнуть датчик и вынуть.
- Поставить новый; трубку не перегибать, проложить её с уклоном вниз к баку, чтобы в ней не стояла вода.
- При забитой трубке/воздушной камере — почистить или заменить их тоже.
- Unplug. Remove the console (top-load) or top panel (front-load).
- Disconnect the plug and the hose (sometimes clamped).
- Remove the screw or unclip the switch.
- Fit the new one; do not kink the hose, route it sloping down to the tub so water cannot sit in it.
- If the hose/air dome is clogged, clean or replace them too.

- В 70% случаев виновата **трубка** или **воздушная камера**, а не датчик: засор, трещина, вода в трубке, слетевший конец.Most often the **hose** or **air dome** is at fault, not the switch: clog, crack, water in the hose, loose end.
