Блок управления мотором (motor control unit, MCU, inverter board) — силовая плата, которая превращает сетевые 120 V в регулируемое трёхфазное питание для инверторного мотора и следит за его скоростью. Главная плата (main control) только даёт команды «крути так-то».
- Whirlpool Duet / Maytag / Kenmore HE front-load: отдельный блок, обычно внизу сзади рядом с мотором или на раме.
- Whirlpool Cabrio / Maytag Bravos / Kenmore Elite top-load: отдельный MCU снизу машины или на задней стенке.
- LG, Samsung (direct drive): инвертор встроен в главную плату (main PCB/main board) — меняется плата целиком.
- Европейские (Bosch, Siemens): «силовой модуль» (power module) управляет мотором, насосом и ТЭНом.
The motor control unit (MCU, inverter board) is the power board that turns 120 V line power into variable 3-phase drive for an inverter motor and monitors its speed. The main control only sends commands.
- Whirlpool Duet / Maytag / Kenmore HE front-loads: a separate unit, usually at the lower rear near the motor or on the frame.
- Whirlpool Cabrio / Maytag Bravos / Kenmore Elite top-loads: a separate MCU under the washer or on the rear wall.
- LG, Samsung direct drive: the inverter is built into the main PCB — the whole board is replaced.
- European (Bosch, Siemens): a power module drives the motor, pump and heater.

Мультиметр: V AC (200 V) на входе, Ω для мотора и жгута. Плату сопротивлением не проверяют — диагностика методом исключения.
Multimeter: V AC (200 V) at the input, Ω for the motor and harness. The board itself is not tested by resistance — diagnose by elimination.

На входе MCU — сетевое напряжение (~120 V AC в США), светодиод состояния (если есть) мигает в нормальном режиме, мотор крутится в сервисном тесте.
MCU input at line voltage (~120 V AC in the US), status LED (if fitted) shows normal, motor runs in the service test.
- ❌ НеисправнаFaulty
Питание есть, мотор и жгут проверены, а мотор не запускается; видимые повреждения на плате; код неисправности MCU/связи сохраняется после замены жгута.
Power present, motor and harness verified, motor still will not start; visible board damage; MCU/comm error persists after harness checks.
Считать код ошибки и войти в сервисный режим (у Whirlpool — тест мотора/вращения): даёт ли главная плата команду на мотор.
Read the error and enter service mode (on Whirlpool — motor/spin test): does the main control command the motor?
Обесточить. Проверить мотор (обмотки и на корпус) — см. карточку мотора. Мотор плохой — MCU часто сгорает вместе с ним, проверить оба.
Unplug. Test the motor (windings and ground) — see the motor card. A bad motor often takes out the MCU too — check both.
Прозвонить жгут MCU ↔ мотор и MCU ↔ главная плата, разъёмы на окисление и обгорание.
Check the harness MCU ↔ motor and MCU ↔ main control for continuity, connectors for corrosion/burning.
Осмотреть плату: вздутые конденсаторы, трещины пайки, обгоревшие реле/транзисторы, следы воды.
Inspect the board: swollen capacitors, cracked solder, burnt relays/transistors, water marks.
Включить и (осторожно) проверить 120 V AC на входе питания MCU. Питание есть, мотор и жгут исправны, команда идёт — MCU под замену.
Power up and (carefully) check 120 V AC at the MCU input. Power present, motor and harness good, command present — replace the MCU.
🔧 ЗаменаReplacement
- Обесточить, сфотографировать все разъёмы до снятия.
- Снять доступ (задняя панель / низ машины / верхняя крышка — у LG главная плата сзади под верхней крышкой).
- Отщёлкнуть защёлки или открутить винты, снять разъёмы, вынуть плату.
- Поставить новую, разъёмы — строго по фото. Держать плату за края, не касаться компонентов (статика).
- Включить, прогнать сервисный тест мотора/калибровку (Whirlpool).
- Unplug, photograph every connector first.
- Gain access (rear panel / underside / top panel — the LG main board sits at the rear under the top panel).
- Release clips or screws, unplug connectors, remove the board.
- Fit the new one, connectors exactly per photos. Hold the board by its edges (static).
- Power up, run the motor service test/calibration (Whirlpool).

Цена сильно зависит от номера и суффикса (ревизии) — подбирать строго по наклейке на старой плате. У LG и Samsung инвертор часто на основной плате. Перед заменой проверить мотор и разъёмы — сгоревшая плата из-за КЗ мотора сгорит снова.Price depends heavily on the part number and suffix (revision) — match the sticker on the old board. On LG and Samsung the inverter is often on the main board. Used boards are cheaper but usually have no warranty or returns. Test the motor and connectors first — a board killed by a shorted motor will fail again.

💡 Заметки мастераTech notes
- Платы обычно **не возвращаются** продавцами после установки. Ставить только когда мотор, жгут и вход питания проверены.Boards are usually **non-returnable** once installed. Install only after the motor, harness and input power are verified.
- Если мотор пробит на корпус — новый MCU сгорит снова. Сначала мотор.If the motor is shorted to ground, a new MCU will fail again. Motor first.
- Номер детали — по полной модели и по наклейке на самой плате; у одной модели бывают ревизии плат.Part number — by the full model and by the label on the board itself; one model can have several board revisions.
- Влага — частый убийца плат: найти и устранить протечку, иначе новая плата повторит судьбу старой.Moisture often kills boards: find and fix the leak or the new board will fail the same way.
