Храповики агитатора (agitator dogs) — 4 маленьких пластиковых «зуба» внутри двухсекционного агитатора (dual-action agitator). Они работают как храповик: нижняя часть агитатора качается туда-сюда, а верхняя (спираль, auger) за счёт храповиков проворачивается только в одну сторону и «тянет» бельё вниз.
Только top-load с двухсекционным агитатором: Whirlpool, Kenmore 70/80/90 и 110 Series, Roper, Amana и подобные. Стоят внутри верха агитатора, под колпачком (agitator cap) и болтом крепления.
У машин с диском (impeller/wash plate) и у front-load их нет.
Agitator dogs are 4 small plastic teeth inside a two-piece (dual-action) agitator. They act as a ratchet: the lower agitator oscillates back and forth, and the upper auger, thanks to the dogs, turns one way only and pulls clothes down.
Top-load only, with a two-piece agitator: Whirlpool, Kenmore 70/80/90 and 110 Series, Roper, Amana and similar. They sit inside the top of the agitator under the agitator cap and retaining bolt.
Wash-plate (impeller) washers and front-loads do not have them.

One way the top ratchets with clicks, the other way it locks and drives. Dog teeth have sharp edges.

Крутится свободно в обе стороны, зубья скруглены/сточены, сломаны — менять все 4 храповика (продаются комплектом, иногда с кулачком).
Free-wheels both ways, teeth rounded/worn or broken — replace all 4 dogs (sold as a kit, sometimes with the cam).
Обесточить. Держа нижнюю часть агитатора, повернуть верхнюю рукой в одну и в другую сторону.
Unplug. Hold the lower agitator and turn the upper part by hand one way and then the other.
Снять колпачок агитатора (поддеть отвёрткой), открутить болт (часто 7/16"), вынуть верхнюю часть и кулачок (cam) — осмотреть храповики.
Pop off the agitator cap (screwdriver), remove the bolt (often 7/16"), lift out the upper section and cam — inspect the dogs.
🔧 ЗаменаReplacement
- Обесточить. Поддеть и снять колпачок агитатора.
- Головкой с удлинителем открутить болт в центре (часто 7/16"), снять верхнюю часть агитатора.
- Вынуть кулачок с храповиками, снять стопорное кольцо (retaining ring).
- Заменить 4 храповика (ориентация — как у старых: все зубьями в одну сторону), вернуть кольцо и кулачок.
- Собрать, проверить рукой, что верх щёлкает в одну сторону и тянет в другую.
- Unplug. Pry off the agitator cap.
- With a socket and extension remove the center bolt (often 7/16"), lift off the upper agitator.
- Pull out the cam with the dogs, remove the retaining ring.
- Replace the 4 dogs (same orientation as the old ones — all teeth facing one way), refit ring and cam.
- Reassemble and check by hand that the top clicks one way and drives the other.
