This guide will walk you through the safe and simple steps to locate, remove, clean, and replace the filter. No advanced skills are required, and the process should take less than 30 minutes.

Step 1

Find the small access door located at the bottom front of the machine.

Step 2

Place a towel underneath the panel.
Slip the spudger into the panel and apply light pressure to pop open the panel.
Any thin, flat tool or object around the house will work, as long as you are careful!

Step 3

Twist the filter knob counterclockwise to release it.
It's suggested to not open all the way, to allow the water to release slowly.
Allow water to drain fully into container or rags.

Step 4

Once all the water has drained, pull the filter out completely.
Keep an eye out for foreign objects, like hairpins, buttons, or coins.

Step 5

From there, clean the filter under warm running water.
Use an old toothbrush if needed to remove any stubborn build up.

Step 6

Wipe down the area inside the filter housing.
Insert the cleaned filter back into the housing.
Twist clockwise until secured—do not overtighten.
